Prep Faith Workshop: Prayers in Pyjamas

On the evening on Thursday the 12th of June, our Prep students and their families gathered for a special event – our Faith Workshop: Prayers in Pyjamas. The night was a beautiful celebration of faith, family, and community.

We began with an Acknowledgement of Country, recognising the Bunurong People as the traditional custodians of the land and honouring their ongoing connection to land, water, and culture. The theme of the evening was Hope.

I loved singing the prayer song, it made me feel happy. I loved having my mum come to school!

Families snuggled together in their pyjamas to listen to the story Jesus Welcomes the Children and reflected on the message that Jesus loves and welcomes each of us, especially children. Together, we prayed, sang, and created something truly special - our Chandelier of Hope.

Each family made a charm and shared a written hope for their child. These beautiful creations will hang in our Prep space as a reminder of our shared faith and connection. We ended the evening by praying the Our Father and singing Pilgrims of Hope, one of the students’ favourite songs. Thank you to all the families who joined us. Your presence made the night even more meaningful.

I absolutely loved the night. It was such a warm and joyful experience, and I left feeling really uplifted and proud of our beautiful Prep community.
