The school year didn’t just start; it exploded into action with an unforgettable afternoon on the oval! A massive thank you to all the families, students, and staff who joined us for our Back-to-School Picnic featuring the high-energy team from Kaboom Kid Sports Australia. From the moment the “Kaboom Krew” fired up the music, the atmosphere was electric, turning our school grounds into a vibrant festival of movement and laughter. It was incredible to see everyone ditching the desks to dive into those famous tabloid sports challenges, proving that when it comes to school spirit, our community definitely knows how to bring the noise.
True to the Kaboom motto, “nobody stood still” as students from all year levels worked together to conquer every station. We were especially proud of our senior students, who stepped up as fantastic leaders, encouraging their younger teammates through every activity. Between the fast-paced games, it was wonderful to see families relaxing on picnic blankets and enjoying the sense of connection that makes our school so special. The sight of so many smiling faces—and perhaps a few exhausted ones—was the perfect way to signal the start of what promises to be an amazing 2026.
An event of this scale is a true team effort, and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to our school staff for giving of their time to support our school community. We also want to give a special shout-out to the Kaboom Kids Sports team for their professional organization and for bringing such a unique, inclusive brand of fun to our field.
