Book Week was a resounding success this year, filled with creativity, marvelous costumes, and a shared love for reading across our entire school community. We kicked off the festivities with a wonderful special assembly where our talented students led a live reading of the classic story, Where is the Green Sheep?, setting a fun and joyful tone for the rest of the week.
Testing our literature knowledge, students took part in two engaging competitions throughout the week: Guess the Character Silhouette and Guess the Book Title. The highlight for many was our annual Book Character Parade, where students showcased incredible creativity by dressing up as their favourite book characters and proudly displaying their outfits.
During break times, teachers treated students to special storytime sessions, gathering groups together to share some of their favourite books and tales. Our library was also thrown open for special family reading sessions, giving students a lovely opportunity to drop into the school library and share their favourite books alongside their families.
We wrapped up our celebratory week with a relaxing Teddy Bears Picnic, where students brought along their favourite soft toys to enjoy a peaceful end to an action-packed Book Week. Thank you to all the students, teachers, and families who put so much effort into making this Book Week such a memorable celebration!
