There was a wonderful buzz in the school this week as our Prep students teamed up with their Year 5 buddies for a special afternoon of collaborative learning.
The pairs dove into a strategic board game that turned Mathematics into a fun game. As they navigated the board, the Preps practiced their counting and 1:1 correspondence with colourful blocks, while our Year 5s stepped up as fantastic mentors—offering encouragement, guiding calculations, and modeling great sportsmanship.
It wasn’t just about the numbers, though! Seeing the “big kids” and our youngest learners sharing laughs over a game reminds us why our Buddy Program is so vital for building confidence and connection across the school.
