Christmas as a St James Community
Christmas as a St James Community 11 December 2019

For the first time, our school community gathered for an evening picnic and carols event to begin the countdown to Christmas.

We were blessed to have such beautiful weather for the occasion, allowing us to enjoy the space we have on the oval to eat, drink and play together. It was great to see so many families sharing meals, catching up and meeting new people before our students gathered to celebrate the story of the birth of Jesus.

As Mary and Joseph travelled from one end of the oval to the other, students sang songs to tell the story unfolding in front of them.

Once the three wise men had found the holy family in the stable, it was time to sing some other traditional Christmas carols loudly!

Such a night couldn’t be complete without a visit from a special man in a red suit too.

Thanks to Jenny and Christie for putting everything together and all of our families for coming together in such a festive and joyous way.
